Kevin Wm. Donovan is a member of the firm’s Business Law Group where his practice is concentrated in the areas of tax and business planning for closely held companies and their owners, business succession planning, acquisitions, and tax-exempt organizations. Mr. Donovan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1970 and his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 1973, and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Ohio and Colorado. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Donovan was a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force and an Assistant Professor of Law at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Donovan formerly served as a Trustee and the President of Lorain County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Inc. and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Lorain County, Inc. He is a past President of the Lorain County Bar Association, is the Chair of the Lorain County Bar Association’s Business Law Section, is a past Chair of the Board of Governors of the Ohio State Bar Association's Corporate Counsel Section and currently serves on the OSBA's Board of Delegates. Mr. Donovan is a volunteer attorney for the Charitable Organization Representation Project (C.O.R.P.) of the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation, a Director of Kids in Flight, Inc. and a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation. He also serves as Wing Leader and Legal Advisor to the Cleveland Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. Mr. Donovan is a frequent speaker on business law topics, including seminars sponsored by the Lorain County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. |
