Stephen P. Chavez obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University in 1988. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1990. He obtained his law degree from the University of Akron in 1994 and his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida in 1995. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1995. He also has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He is a member of the Lorain County, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. In his free time, Steve serves and a member and trustee of the Black River Audubon Society. He is also a member of the Lorain County Historical Society and Serves on its finance committee.
